Milwaukee Engagement Photography | John + Nicole
Our Engagement Session…
Beautiful and fantastic! Talk about passion and love! We had a great evening with John, Nicole and their pup Marley! We can’t wait to see Marley again at their wedding
Their engagement session was spent winding around the streets of Milwaukee near their home, then headed down to the Third Ward, finally ended at the Iron Horse Hotel for a few fine drinks and a delicious flat bread pizza. YUM! Thank you Anthony Trester for showing us around the facility.
How they met…
John and Nicole met randomly on a camping trip in August 2007. The following week was John’s birthday and he invited Nicole to go out for drinks with him and his friends but there first official date was for Nicole’s birthday the week after his when he took her to Evvia in Palo Alto and even sent flowers to her office. They began hanging out on a regular basis, hiking, going to dinners and officially became a couple at a Dave Mathew’s concert in September…the rest is history!
Their dreamy proposal…
While Nicole’s parents were visiting San Francisco for the weekend, John planned a wine tasting trip to bring both families together to get to know one another better and experience the beautiful Napa Valley, so as everyone thought. On Saturday morning, April 9th, 2011, everyone gathered at John’s condo in San Mateo and hopped in a limo that was waiting to embark on a memorable journey to Sonoma.
John had planned a full agenda for the day with the first stop being Benziger Winery in Glen Ellen. John was planning on proposing to Nicole near the picnic area at lunch, but the plans just changed and John wanted to incorporate his Greek heritage into the perfect lifetime memory within this beautiful Parthenon overlooking the entire vineyard. Close to an hour later, the tour concluded with wine tasting within the Benziger caves.
It truly felt as if John and Nicole were on top of the world, breathtaking views on a gorgeous day under a Greek Parthenon atop a vineyard. After many minutes had passed, John was definitely at a loss for words and could only mutter ‘you are so beautiful, I love you’ over and over. Nicole, blushing, smiled back with the most gorgeous smile…and the rest is history!
Their Wedding…
Their wedding will be held at North Shore Country Club with the focus to re-create a rustic, elegant and romantic feel to our day. The rustic theme will be carried out with tons of attention to details: lots of candles, mason jars, wild flowers, burlap type fabrics and lace. Their colors are purples, pinks and ivory with the bridesmaids wearing a vibrant pink/purple vintage style dress. Guys will wear black tux with suspenders in place of traditional vests.
