Our Engagement Session…
Beautiful and fantastic! Talk about passion and love! We had a great evening with John, Nicole and their pup Marley! We can’t wait to see Marley again at their wedding :) Their engagement session was spent winding around the streets of Milwaukee near their home, then headed down to the Third Ward, finally ended at the Iron Horse Hotel for a few fine drinks and a delicious flat bread pizza. YUM! Thank you Anthony Trester for showing us around the facility.

How they met…
John and Nicole met randomly on a camping trip in August 2007. The following week was John’s birthday and he invited Nicole to go out for drinks with him and his friends but there first official date was for Nicole’s birthday the week after his when he took her to Evvia in Palo Alto and even sent flowers to her office. They began hanging out on a regular basis, hiking, going to dinners and officially became a couple at a Dave Mathew’s concert in September…the rest is history!

Their dreamy proposal…
While Nicole’s parents were visiting San Francisco for the weekend, John planned a wine tasting trip to bring both families together to get to know one another better and experience the beautiful Napa Valley, so as everyone thought. On Saturday morning, April 9th, 2011, everyone gathered at John’s condo in San Mateo and hopped in a limo that was waiting to embark on a memorable journey to Sonoma.

John had planned a full agenda for the day with the first stop being Benziger Winery in Glen Ellen. John was planning on proposing to Nicole near the picnic area at lunch, but the plans just changed and John wanted to incorporate his Greek heritage into the perfect lifetime memory within this beautiful Parthenon overlooking the entire vineyard. Close to an hour later, the tour concluded with wine tasting within the Benziger caves.

It truly felt as if John and Nicole were on top of the world, breathtaking views on a gorgeous day under a Greek Parthenon atop a vineyard. After many minutes had passed, John was definitely at a loss for words and could only mutter ‘you are so beautiful, I love you’ over and over. Nicole, blushing, smiled back with the most gorgeous smile…and the rest is history!

Their Wedding…
Their wedding will be held at North Shore Country Club with the focus to re-create a rustic, elegant and romantic feel to our day. The rustic theme will be carried out with tons of attention to details: lots of candles, mason jars, wild flowers, burlap type fabrics and lace. Their colors are purples, pinks and ivory with the bridesmaids wearing a vibrant pink/purple vintage style dress. Guys will wear black tux with suspenders in place of traditional vests.

Jenny and Tim are not only gorgeous, but also super cool! We were able to visit their condo which overlooks the Summerfest  grounds – awesome! I think we’ll be visiting this summer…

They love to watch and participate in various sporting events, and love the Brewers, so it was quite fitting to start their Milwaukee engagement session at Miller Park! Then off to the historic Third Ward to capture the heart and soul of Milwaukee.

They scoot around Milwaukee avoiding parking issues, with their super sexy scooter! We all had fun watching them zoom around town. Last, but not least, we headed over to Seven Bridges to capture some dramatic and beautiful woodsy backdrops. Oh yeah, almost forgot, we were capturing some great moments crossing the street when Jenny and Tim stopped all traffic when the drawbridge opened for a giant yacht :)

Their first date was at the Weidner Center in GB watching the Phantom of the Opera. It was Tim’s first time seeing a musical and they both got to get off campus and dress up – what’s not to like!?

We wrapped up the day with a delicious cold beer and lunch from Rock Bottom Brewery! Alex of course had to order some weird hamburger with eggs and some type of duck sauce – so weird! We’ll be coming back soon. It was a delicious fun and awesome day with Jenny and Tim!

Their wedding will be fun, modern and elegant with an emphasis on fun! We can’t wait!

Megan + Matt

Megan and Matt were friends for quite awhile before dating. For their first date, they travelled outside Milwaukee city limits to watch a meteor shower. At that time, Megan worked for a astronomy magazine and needed to cover the shower for work. The night turned into a romantic evening as they were not only able to see hundred of meteors, but thousands of stars. It was the perfect first date!

Their wedding day was full of details, color and creativity. Megan and Matt are HUGE Brewers fans so there were many hints of the Brewers, beer and just hints of baseball throughout the evening. Megan even surprised Matt by having the Miller’s stadium Brewers Sausages show up during the reception. Everyone had a blast!

Their colors were sage and tan with very earthy and natural elements. The bridal part had a blast being choffeured on a gorgeous trolley to a few local bars and parks. It was a beautiful day full of laughter, fun and romance!
